Yesterday, I had the honor to speak with Mrs. Bobotsi, the representative of the social democratic party of France in the committee of ITRE.
Despite having a little time between one of the breaks, she was more than willing to answer to all of my questions. To start with, Mrs Bobotsi suggests, like the majority of the members in the ITRE committee, that the European Union should, step by step, gain its independence, when it comes to the provision of gas from the Russian Federation.
That is able to be achieved, as the Netherlands and Norway, that might not be be part of the European Union but are involved in the European Free Trade Association, have some supplies with which the European nations can be provided.
In the end, she also reported that due to the crisis between Russian and Ukraine, Europe is also in trouble, because, mostly supported the nation of Ukraine, from the beginning of its history.
