After yesterday’s intense debating on digital market, the two separate teams of the INTA Committee were still trying to find common ground, so an agreement could be reached. While the EPP and their team were trying to find solutions to the committee’s problems, the S&D members seemed to be united under the motto “Justice-Fairness-Equality” which, although inspiring, was not very helpful.
While this was happening, there was a sudden crisis update regarding Amazons False Deliveries. It seemed that high clients wanting huge reparations from the company, as well as guarantees and insurances for future trade deals. Amazon, under high pressure, decided to take 7 steps in order to bounce back from the crisis and stated that the reparations should be paid immediately.
Mr. Skaltsas of the S&D Party was strongly arguing in favor of giving people their money back, and suggested that the INTA Committee should pay the reparations in order to boost its image. After that, a huge debate started, as the EPP pointed out that this was not something that the INTA Committee could authorize. After some minutes full of tension, there was an intervention by the Commissioner who declared that the EPP was right, and such an action was beyond the INTAs authorization limits.
