The participants at the session worked really well together. There were both cooperation and respect between the parties and the countries. The main idea of the sessions was that although Turkey’s acts are most of the time inappropriate and don’t respect the international law, it is an essential ally on the grounds that if we don’t collaborate with this country, it can easily “drown” countries like Greece and Bulgaria.
Moreover, a representative of the S&D party mentioned that even though he recognizes the importance of Turkish alliance, we –as European Union- have to be strict and our relationship can never be too friendly.
Last but not least, it was mentioned that Germany must drop its nationalistic ideas and start thinking of the European Union as a real union, where every country share the same interests with the others as regards of the foreign –out of the EU- affairs. In addition, the German representative was accused that Germany is a country which sells weapons to Turkey. Of course, he was not so happy with this outcome. There were countries,that support him, though.
