DROI Committee had to deal with the topic of terrorism in the European region.
The representative of the committee mentioned the importance of collaboration with Europol as one of the most crucial ally of the European Union. Moreover, she referred to the important role that cyber space plays, proposing that applications like Facebook and Twitter should keep track of the terrorist to boost the European authority’s power. In addition, she spoke about the reforming of education, enhancing the role of Erasmus+ program, and the conduction of cultural events.
What is more, there was an active collaboration of all the MEP’s, all did their best and gave in to their beliefs in order to find a resolution to this problem that affects a whole continent. Mrs Plessia, in order to encourage the assembly to vote in favor of the DROI’s decision mentioned the following; “The DROI committee managed to prevent terrorist attacks and parallel to respect the human rights and the international law. It is crucial an agreement to exist in order the loss of more people’s lives to be prevented and assure the European citizens about their safety.”
