EUropa.S 2019 is dedicated to the Romanian Presidency of the Council of European Union. During the opening ceremony the Candidate MEP’S Debate took place, in which some Greek European candidates spoke about their vision of EU, and then the honoring of Mr A. Kotios followed as well as the adjuration of the judges of the European Court of Justice.
To begin with, the Debate included topics such as Euroskepticism and Brexit, which united all candidates, who all agreed that UK’s place is crucial in the European Union and that Brexit is the outcome of populism. Furthermore, the candidates discussed about the energy and that Europe’s next goal should be the Energy Unification. In addition, the subject of Artificial Intelligence came up and all candidate MEP’S agreed that it certainly has a lot of advantages, but also many drawbacks. Then followed the participants questions.
Meanwhile, Mr. Aggelos Kotios, the rector of Piraeus University, received the award for the most significant personality not only for his European visions, but also for his achievements in the academic field and his contribution in EUropa.S conference. He believes in the new generation not only for what it is, but also for what it can be for Greece and Europe!
Last but not least, the adjuration of the judges of the European Court of Justice has been completed.
