The procedure began with the speeches of candidates in which they expressed their positions about the current issues of EU agenda. All of them agreed in the importance of intelligence transportation systems which would ensure best conditions for Εuropean travelers. Furthermore, as far as education was concerned, they pointed out that, with the proper use of technology, a digital revolution could be achieved in education in favor of children. Concerning the relationships with the USA, Mr Kedras and Mr Vasilopoulos both agreed that the USA can be a great alliance, while Mr Moutso and Mr Symeonidis condemned Trump’s actions. In fact, a related question was posed to Mr Moutso and ansewered that EU should be an alliance to the USA but not related with Trump’s politics. Then we proceed with the election. After two rounds of voting and a struggle with Mr Moutso, Mr Symeonidis was elected as the President. The new president has declared the importance of the cooperation between the parties, so as the interest of European citizens should be satisfied. Then the procedure of moderated caucus has taken place in which MEPs discussed the issue of the proper use of artificial intelligence. They all agreed in the creation of a legal framework which would put in priority the protection of human rights by the extreme use of new technology without denying its importance at the same time. MEPs were parted in their committees afterwards and set the basic guidelines of their policy which were accepted by all.
