The President of INTA Committee, Mrs. Elli Tsitsipa, has made some statements over the progress made by INTA, regarding the work of the committee until now.
“The MEPs managed to agree on the issue of the protection of SMEs (small & medium enterprises) and more specifically rendering the initiation process of investigations more flexible. Also, they have managed to find common grounds regarding the transparency of the investigation. The MEPs have addressed some rather important aspects of the topic, namely: transparency, circumvention, lesser duty rule etc. Almost all MEPs have taken the floor several times and have expressed their point of view. The debate has been very heated, but I feel that unanimity will be reached. We are very satisfied with the level of expertise of the MEPs as they have a very good understanding of the topic, which is rather demanding and very technical.”
