“Only with a liberal vision we shall boost innovation” – Ms. Anastasopoulou
Today’s procedures of EUropa.S. began with the election of the leader of each party participating in the European Parliament. More specifically, the elections in the ALDE Party rolled smoothly, as Ms. Anastasopoulou was elected with the majority of the votes. In her speech Ms. Anastasopoulou mentioned the liberal values and ideas which created the European Union, such as democracy, freedom and justice. Thus, she stressed out topics such as freedom of trade and movement, cyber security and the need of a solid legal framework for artificial intelligence.
In the meantime, the board collaborated fruitfully in the making of the common policy guidelines. Namely, all members of the board, unanimously, agreed that liberal values should be promoted by ALDE in every aspect of each Committee. The ALDE Party strongly believes that Europe must remain unified and open to innovation and entrepreneurship, and also be competitive in a dynamic international system.
